1. Who we are
Pawzzy (“Pawzzy”, “we”, “us”) operates the Pawzzy app and website, which give pet owners access to discount codes and offers from partner brands.
For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Pawzzy is the data controller of the personal data described in this notice.

2. The personal data we collect
Account data: first name, email address, password (stored only in hashed form in the live service), and any optional phone number or date of birth you add.
Pet data: the names, animal types and age ranges you tell us about your pets.
Preference data: survey answers, notification settings, saved stores and marketing choices.
Usage data: the offers you view, codes you reveal or copy, searches you run, referral links you share, and general interaction events.
Technical data: device type, operating system, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, and app version.
We do not knowingly collect special category data, and Pawzzy is not intended for anyone under 18.
3. How we use your data and our lawful bases
Performance of a contract: creating and running your account, showing you offers, revealing codes, saving stores and operating referrals.
Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing coupon fraud and abuse, measuring which offers perform well, and improving the product. We balance these interests against your rights and you may object at any time.
Consent: optional marketing emails and push notifications, and any non-essential analytics or advertising storage. You can withdraw consent at any time in Notification Preferences or your device settings, without affecting prior processing.
Legal obligation: responding to lawful requests, keeping records required by tax, accounting or consumer law.
4. Automated decisions and personalisation
We use your pet profiles, saved stores and browsing activity to rank and personalise the offers you see. This is profiling for personalisation only. It produces no legal or similarly significant effect on you, and we do not carry out automated decision-making of that kind.
5. Sharing your data
Partner brands: we share aggregated, anonymised performance data (for example how many members redeemed an offer). We do not sell your personal data and never disclose your contact details to a brand without your explicit request or consent.
Service providers acting as processors: hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring and analytics providers, each bound by written contracts limiting them to our instructions.
Affiliate networks: where a partner offer is tracked through an affiliate network, a click identifier may be shared so a qualifying referral can be attributed. This does not include your name or email.
Legal and corporate: regulators, law enforcement or professional advisers where legally required, and a buyer or successor in the event of a reorganisation or sale of the business.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement / EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, together with appropriate technical safeguards such as encryption in transit and at rest. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards from hello@pawzzy.app.
7. How long we keep it
Account, pet and preference data: for as long as your account is active and for up to 24 months after your last sign-in, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Redemption and referral records: up to 6 years where needed for fraud prevention, partner reconciliation or legal claims.
Marketing suppression records: kept indefinitely so we can honour your opt-out.
Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept without time limit.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data; to rectify inaccurate data; to erasure; to restrict or object to processing (including profiling for direct marketing, which we will always stop on request); to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time.
You can exercise most of these directly in My Details and Notification Preferences, or by emailing hello@pawzzy.app. We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, and we will tell you if that applies.
9. Security
We apply encryption in transit (TLS), least-privilege access controls, logging, and regular dependency and vulnerability review. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a unique password and tell us immediately at hello@pawzzy.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. Cookies and device storage
Pawzzy uses cookies and similar device storage. Our Cookie Policy explains each category, its purpose, its lifespan and how to control it.
11. Preview build notice
This build is an interactive product preview. Your profile, pets and preferences are stored only in your own browser's local storage on this device and are not transmitted to a Pawzzy server. Clearing your browser data removes them permanently.
12. Changes to this notice
We review this notice at least annually. Where a change materially affects how we use your data we will notify you in-app or by email before it takes effect. The version and date at the top always reflect the current notice.
